Bridal Hair and Makeup: Why Trials Make All the Difference

On the wedding day, all eyes (and all lenses) are on you. A successful beauty look is planned — and above all, it should be tried.

The Trial Is Not Optional

Schedule the hair and makeup trial 1 to 2 months before the wedding:

• Come with inspiration photos AND a photo of your dress.
• Wear a light-colored top, close to the color of the dress.
• Bring your accessories (veil, hair jewelry, comb).
• Take photos with and without flash: the result can change completely.

Then wear it through a whole evening: it's the best test for staying power.

Wedding Day Timing

Plan for about 1 h 30 to 2 h for the bride (hair + makeup), and 45 minutes per accompanying person. The bride goes last for the freshest look possible at the ceremony — but leave a 30-minute buffer before dressing.

Lasting Until the End of the Night

• Insist on long-wear and waterproof products (tears of joy don't give warning).
• Ask for a touch-up kit: powder, lipstick, pins.
• In summer, discuss setting spray and mattifying products; in winter, increased hydration.

Prepare Your Skin in Advance

Skincare should start 3 to 6 months beforehand: an adapted routine, no new facial treatments in the wedding week, and a gentle exfoliation 2 days before. Nothing experimental 7 days before!
