Wedding website: what information should you give your guests?

A wedding website is useful when information is extensive or when guests come from several cities. It prevents repeating the same answers across multiple conversations and allows you to update a detail without reprinting a document.

Start with the schedule

Present the main stages: ceremony, cocktail, dinner and evening party. If several days are planned, create a section for each day. Do not display a minute-by-minute schedule if it has not yet been confirmed.

Centralize addresses

A map or route links can help guests distinguish town hall, ceremony, reception, parking and hotels. Check the addresses before publishing. For a remote venue, also add information about parking and shuttle services.

Simplify responses

An FAQ can answer recurring questions: dress code, children, meals, parking, arrival times or accommodation. Guests find the information themselves and you save time.

Include the RSVP

The form can ask only for the data necessary for organization. Number of attendees, attendance at each event and dietary restrictions are often more useful than a long questionnaire.

Keep the site up to date

Designate a person responsible for changes. Contradictory information between the invitation, the website and a WhatsApp message immediately creates confusion.
