Couples' guide

Planning your wedding with DreamWeds

Find your vendors, book safely and organise every step, from the checklist to your wedding website.

Getting started

Create your account

A free account gives you your wedding space, favourites, bookings and messages.

  1. Click “Sign in”, then “Create an account”.
  2. Confirm your email address with the link you receive.
  3. Answer the few welcome questions: your names, date, location, number of guests and budget.

Nothing is final: everything can be changed later in “Complete your details”.

Your wedding space

The dashboard brings together your favourites, checklist progress, guests and all the planning tools.

  1. Open “My wedding” from your account menu.
  2. At the top: your names, the date and three indicators (favourites, checklist, guests).
  3. Below, each tool: vendors, wedding website, guests, budget, checklist, seating plan, programme, day-of schedule, calendar, documents, memories, notifications.

Plan together (or with family)

Invite your partner or a relative: you work on the same wedding, with the same lists.

  1. In your wedding space, open “Planning as a couple”.
  2. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
  3. They receive an invitation and join the shared space once their account is created.

The mobile app

The DreamWeds app (iPhone and Android) uses the same account and data: checklist, budget, guests, messages, wedding website, inspiration and “Our venue”.

Finding vendors

Search and filter

The catalogue lists wedding vendors all over France: venues, caterers, photographers, DJs, decorators…

  1. Open “Vendors”.
  2. Filter by category, city or region, budget, capacity and specialities.
  3. On a listing: photos, packages and prices, couples' reviews, availability.
Browse vendors

Favourites and comparison

Keep the vendors you like and compare them side by side.

  1. Click the heart on a listing to add it to your favourites.
  2. Find them in your wedding space, under “Vendors”.
  3. The comparison tool lines up their prices, ratings and services.
Open the comparison

Send a booking request

Your request goes to the vendor, who accepts it with a final price or declines it.

  1. On the listing, choose the date, the number of guests and, if offered, packages and options: the total is calculated automatically.
  2. Add a message to describe your project.
  3. Follow the answer in “My bookings”; you are notified by email.

To contact several vendors at once, use the group quote request.

Contact details written in a message are hidden until the booking is paid: this protects you and your deposit.

If there is no answer after 48 hours, “My bookings” shows vendors in the same category who are free on your date; after 5 days, we also let you know by email. Your request stays valid.

Group quote request

All-in-one packages

Several vendors combined into a single offer, designed for one event and one tradition.

  1. Open “Packs” and choose your event and tradition.
  2. On a pack, enter the date, the number of guests and your options: the price updates.
  3. Book and pay the deposit online; each vendor in the pack then gets in touch with you.

Estimate your budget

The estimator splits an overall budget across the items of a wedding, based on your number of guests.

Booking and paying

The steps of a booking

A booking is confirmed once the contract is signed and the deposit paid.

  1. Pending: your request has been sent to the vendor.
  2. Accepted: the vendor confirms the final price (and, where relevant, a security deposit). The contract is ready.
  3. You sign the contract online, then pay the deposit by card.
  4. Paid: the date is booked, messaging opens and contact details appear.

A request can also be declined or cancelled; its status is always shown in “My bookings”.

My bookings

The contract

The contract is between you and the vendor; DreamWeds is the intermediary. It covers the price, deposit, balance, cancellation and the conditions specific to the category.

  1. Open the contract from the accepted booking.
  2. Read it, then sign: your name, the date, the time and your IP address are recorded.
  3. Download it as a PDF whenever you like: it stays in your space.

The text is frozen when you sign: it never changes afterwards.

The 14-day right of withdrawal depends on the service (it does not apply to a venue or caterer booked for a specific date): the contract says so.

Deposit and balance

The deposit is paid online when you book; the balance by the deadline stated in the contract.

  1. Deposit: paid securely by card (Stripe). It is deducted from the price.
  2. Balance: online in one go, in 2 to 4 instalments, or directly to the vendor, as you choose in your space.
  3. A payment schedule chosen after signing is set out in an amendment, which the vendor accepts.

No automatic debit: you pay each instalment yourself. Reminders are sent before each due date.

Cancellation and refunds

The contract sets a scale based on when the cancellation happens.

  1. More than 180 days before the event: deposit refunded, minus a 10% handling fee.
  2. Between 90 and 180 days: half of the deposit is refunded.
  3. Less than 90 days: the deposit is kept by the vendor.

If the vendor cancels or cannot provide the service, you are refunded in full within 14 days.

Messages

You can message a vendor once the booking is paid. Before that, the request and the answer go through the platform.

Open my messages

Leave a review

After a paid booking, you can rate the vendor and share your experience. Reviews are checked before they are published.

All the vendors you can review are listed in the “After the wedding” tool.

Organising the wedding

The checklist

The steps of a wedding, grouped by month before the date, with sub-steps to tick off.

  1. Open “Checklist”: tasks are ordered according to your wedding date.
  2. Expand a step to tick its sub-steps; the step is ticked when everything is done.
  3. Add your own tasks if needed.

The budget

Track what is paid and what is left to pay, item by item, and who paid for what.

  1. Enter your total budget: a suggested split is shown for each item.
  2. Add each expense, paid or upcoming.
  3. Set how costs are shared between you (or with your families) to balance spending.

Bookings paid on DreamWeds appear automatically.

Guests and replies

One list for your guests, their plus-ones, their children, their meals and their replies.

  1. Add your guests (or a whole household) with their details, or import them in one go: a pasted spreadsheet, a CSV file or your phone contacts.
  2. Customise and share the invitation card: each guest gets a personal link to reply. With their number, WhatsApp opens their conversation directly.
  3. Replies arrive in the list automatically, with meal choices and the questions asked on your website.

At 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before the wedding, you are told if some guests have not replied.

“Remind guests who have not replied” prepares a reminder in the guest's language, to send on WhatsApp or by text; the reminder's link replaces the previous one.

The seating plan

Create your tables, then seat your guests. Those still to be seated are listed separately.

Programme and day-of schedule

The programme presents the moments of the wedding (ceremony, drinks, party) to your guests; the hour-by-hour schedule is for your vendors.

  1. In “Programme”, add each moment with its date, time and place: it appears on your website.
  2. In “Day-of schedule”, build the timeline and share it with your vendors.

Calendar, documents and notifications

Your appointments (fittings, tastings, visits), your documents (quotes, contracts, invoices) and every wedding alert in one place.

In “Notifications”, choose what you want to receive by email.

Your wedding website

Create your website

A page that looks like you, with your programme, venues and RSVPs, which guests open from a simple link.

  1. Open “Wedding website” and choose from twelve themes: your names already appear on each card.
  2. Add a cover photo and a welcome message.
  3. Follow the “Your website is …% ready” gauge: each step takes you where to complete it.
  4. Publish when you are ready.

Theme, colours and content

Change theme or colours at any time: the live preview shows the result. Your content stays the same.

  1. “Appearance”: theme, colours (with a warning if text becomes hard to read), photo, welcome message.
  2. “Content”: our story, practical information, dress code, gift list, contact, gallery, guestbook, in the order you choose.
  3. The website address is changed in “My website”; ideas are suggested from your names.

RSVPs

Guests reply from the website, without creating an account. Replies arrive in “Guests”.

Add questions (meal choice, accommodation…) in the website's “Guests” section.

RSVPs close automatically after the wedding date: the website becomes a keepsake.

Share your website

A link to copy, a QR code to print on your invitations, or sending by WhatsApp or text with your message.

A website can be private: guests then enter an access code.

After the wedding

Your memories

Wedding photos and videos, organised in albums and shared with your guests; your vendors can upload their high-quality files.

Open my memories

Thank-yous and reviews

The “After the wedding” tool helps you thank your guests, review your vendors and share your story.

Account and privacy

Your data

Your contact details are only shared with a vendor once the booking is paid. You can delete your account at any time.
